Markethill District Enterprises Ltd, a Cross Community Development Organisation, was formed in 1990. All project work is conducted from the Old Courthouse, 7 Main Street Markethill.
The committee of Markethill District Enterprises Ltd is presently made up of 42 members, including 12 directors, who are representative of the community and voluntary groups operating in Markethill.
The organisation mission statement is

"To improve the quality of life for all of those living in Markethill and surrounding district through Economic, Environmental and Social projects"

We are situated at the Northern entrance to Markethill, just off the A28 Newry to Armagh road - part of the North West passage, and one hour from most of the major centres such as Belfast, Omagh, Enniskillen, Monaghan and Dundalk.
