Stagehands Drama Group
This group, formed in 1997 for local enthusiasts, now has an annual
'Panto' staged in the Old Courthouse. Other events are staged during
the spring and summer months. New members are always welcome; not
only aspiring actors, singers and dancers but also backstage helpers
such as sound and light technicians, make-up and costume assistants.
Meetings are held regularly prior to a performance.
Historical
Society
One of Markethill's most popular groups, they invite a variety of
speakers on aspects of local history, plus make use of a library
of books on local history, which is on display at each meeting.
These may be borrowed and returned the following month. Meetings
are held in the Old Courthouse at 8.00pm on the last Thursday of
each month.
