How does Markethill District Enterprises Ltd achieve this?

• Creating community interest groups
• Acting as an umbrella for our community interest groups.
• Offering support and advice though the General Manager, Audrey Kerr and Development Worker, Gareth Leckey.
• Attracting funding for social, economic and environmental projects and offering assistance during funding applications.
• Providing a neutral venue equipped with stage and conference facilities.
• Designing and printing posters and leaflets for the groups.
• Providing typing, photocopying and faxing.
• Offering internet access
• Initiating economic development by establishing the Business Centre, The Johnston House and the Old Courthouse
• Initiating environmental improvements such as improved street paving and lighting.

To further develop this work, Markethill District Enterprises Ltd have employed a Community Development Worker, Gareth Leckey.
Gareth's remit is to work closely with all our community groups and identify and address gaps in the existing provision.
